The METEOR was the favorite boat of the Führer and the Nazi hierarchs. It was built in 1939 by the Skibsverftet Gamle shipyard in Svendborg and bears the signature of the famous Danish designer Sophus Weber. It was purchased in 1939 by the Danish count Heinrich Carl von Schimmelmann of Lindenborg, a leading exponent of the Nazi hierarchy, and it was made available to Hitler on the coasts of the occupied Denmark, where it was used by Hitler for his institutional and private meetings with Eva Braun, becoming a refuge for the Führer during times of difficulty. A unique boat, the Meteor was capable of sailing long pierced and had (and still has) a large stern with a low side, a hull capable of braving the Northern seas, a wooden cabin, mahogany and teak flooring of 8 centimeters. At the time the Meteor was in fact a luxury charter: three beautiful owner's cabins, bathrooms with tub, all wood and brass. When the war ended the boat was confiscated by the Danish Crown but the property remained with the count until 1971, the year of his death. The yacht then went around the world, to then land, after numerous changes of owners, including Derek John Roe, the Luliad company and the cinematographic Augusto Caminito, in the hands of the Classic Yacht Charter company. In 2003, the Postiglione di Baia shipyard carried out an important restoration work. The boat is characterized by a large stern area with a dining table (to be set up). At the bow, on the deck, there is a large sundeck, in addition to the mooring maneuvering area, with an anchor winch.
